The prerequisite for FTCL is LTCL in the same instrument. Applications for approval of substitute qualifications must be sent to music@trinitycollege.com. Applicant/ Candidate should attach as much evidence as possible of learning gained. Each case will be considered on its individual merits. If the application is approved, Trinity College London will provide a Prerequisite Approval with the approval code by email. Applicant/ Candidate may not enter for an exam until they have received this reference number.

Please read the exam syllabus and the following terms and conditions carefully before exam enrolment. Candidates who enrolled to the Trinity College London Music Examination are deemed to have accepted the rules and the following clauses published in the "Exam Syllabus":

General Enrolment Information

• Trinity (Hong Kong) Music Center (hereinafter referred to as THKMC) reserves the right to change the deadline for enrolment
• Applicant/ Candidate must have a mobile phone with the bank application installed and is able to make payments with FPS before exam enrolment.
• Online enrolment payment can only be paid by FPS
• Please mark down the payment number in case for further follow up
• Applicant/ Candidate is responsible for verifying that the examination fees are correct at the time of payment. If any changes are required, THKMC has the right to refuse or impose additional administrative fees on the Applicant/ Candidate. THKMC will not refund the overpaid amount
• The name of the candidate on the form must match with the candidate attending the exam and cannot be replaced/substituted by anyone else under any circumstances
• Applicant/ Candidate must provide:
- A valid Hong Kong ID card/passport containing the candidate’s photo and full name in English (for verification purposes only)
- Please upload the file as a computer scan or a photo file. The file format is limited to JPEG, PDF, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF and no more than 5 MB
- Music Performance Diploma candidate who chooses a piece outside the repertoire list must attach the “Approval Letter” issued by Trinity College London during exam enrollment (for verification purposes only)
- Candidate applying for FTCL must provide a copy of the LTCL exam results and certificate (for verification purposes only)
• Examinations cannot be converted to the Digital recording examinations format, postponed, cancelled or refunded
• THKMC will try its best to arrange the exam month selected by the candidates, but it cannot be fully guaranteed
• If the epidemic breaks out again, all face-to-face exams will be immediately suspended and postponed until further notice, while ensuring the health and safety of all candidates and examiners. THKMC will notify candidates of the latest information about the exam by email

Applicant

• Applicant must be at least 18 years old
• Applicant can be the candidate's music teacher, parent, guardian, school or music center
• Applicant must provide valid contact number, address and email address when enroling. If the submitted information is incorrect, THKMC will not assume any responsibility. All exam information will be emailed to the email address filled in by the applicant

Candidate

• The information provided in the enrolment form will not be referenced by the examiner or any third party

Special needs

This part of the data will not affect the exam markings. If the candidate is under the age of 18, the special needs application form will need to be signed by the parent/guardian or a duly authorized agent. Those who apply for special needs must submit the specially needs application form together with the supporting documents

Enrolment and payment procedures

• Fill in the online enrolment form
• Preview and confirm the completed enrolment form content and exam fee
• Complete payment of the exam fee by FPS
• Applicant/ Candidate will receive a confirmation email after the payment is completed. If the Applicant/ Candidate has not received the confirmation email within 3 working days after completed payment, please contact THKMC (info@trinitycollege.com.hk) immediately
• If candidate finds that the content of the enrolment is incorrect, please send an email with the request to info@trinitycollege.com.hk within 7 working days after the confirmation email is received (examination instrument & level and interpreter application cannot be changed). An administrative fee of HKD 300 will be charged after 7 working days
• Overpaid exam fees will not be refunded or transferred
• In case of any disputes, THKMC reserves the right of final decision

Appointment slip

• THKMC will send the appointment slip to the address provided by the Applicant/ Candidate by mail within 3-4 weeks before the exam date. Applicant/ Candidate will also receive an email notification
• If you have moved to a new address, please notify us by email (info@trinitycollege.com.hk) immediately
• THKMC is not responsible for any loss in mailing (including delay, damage, loss or theft damage etc.)
• Candidate must bring their appointment slip to the exam
• Candidate who has lost the appointment slip must send a written application to THKMC by email. THKMC has the right to charge administrative fees
• Candidates must visit or entrust others to THKMC to reissue the appointment slip no less than 7 days before the exam

Personal Data (Data Protection Act 1998)

Data provided must be accurate and clearly written, THKMC do not guarantee its accuracy and reliability and accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from any inaccuracy or omission. Data will be under protection of “UK Data Protection Act 1998”. Data provided will be used for examination administration and academic research. In compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, access to all personal data will be made available, on payment of a fee, to anyone who can establish his/her right to be informed of such data as are retained by the THKMC. Please also note that applicants'/candidates' personal data/correspondence/other information received by the THKMC may be referred to the Examination Board concerned. Applicants/candidates should approach the Examination Board direct for their personal data/information handling policies if necessary. *If you do not wish your personal data to be used for this purpose, please email THKMC at info@trinitycollege.com.hk (Attn: Supervisor).

Personal Data Collection Statement

THKMC will ensure that the data provided by you are treated and kept strictly confidential, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. The data provided by you are solely for THKMC on communication and development purposes. THKMC will not disclose your personal information to any external parties unless otherwise stated or with your prior consent or it is required to do so by law. If you want to have access to or change your personal data, please send your full name, contact method to info@trinitycollege.com.hk. If you do not wish to receive our information, please contact THKMC via the above channels directly. You may at any time make an opt-out request to THKMC of not receiving all or any specific communication material from THKMC by sending us a written request.
